Analysis tools and third-party tools

When you visit our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous, meaning that the behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You may object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. For detailed information on how to do so, see the following sections of our Data Protection Policy.

We would like to point out that there may be security gaps when data is transmitted over the internet (e.g. communication by email). Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Note on the responsible party

Responsible for processing data on this website is:

Obst- und Gemüsegroßhandelsgesellschaft
Hans Josef Berdin mbH

Right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of data protection law, the person affected has the right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. SSL and TLS encryption

This site uses SSL and/or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion

You have the right within the scope of the applicable law to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time and in some cases the right to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. 3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of our web pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on your computer until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website.

You can set your browser to inform you of the use of cookies, choosing in each case whether or not to allow them, or decide not to allow them at all. You can also activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you decide to deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited. Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies in order to ensure technically error-free and optimised provision of services. If other cookies are stored (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour), they are treated separately in this Data Protection Policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information consists of:
• Browser type and browser version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address
These data are not combined with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries using the contact form, your details from the contact form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data to others without your consent.

The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The data processing remains legal up to the revocation of consent.

The data you enter in the contact form is stored by us until you request that we delete it or revoke your consent to its storage, or until the reason for storing the data is no longer given (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

4. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, 4 Dublin, Irland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie on your use of this website is as a rule transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymization
We have enabled IP anonymization on this website. Google will therefore first shorten your IP address in the member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened once there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide further services to the website operator related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies from being stored on your computer by setting your browser software accordingly; we would like to inform you, however, that in that case you may not be able to make full use all features of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the transmission to Google of the data related to your use of the website that is generated by the cookie (incl. your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link:http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Opting out of data collection

You can prevent Google from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, see the Google’s Data Privacy Policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Demographic features on Google Analytics
This website uses the Google Analytics function “demographic features”. This allows reports to be generated that contain information on the age, gender and interests of website visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from third-party visitor data. This data cannot be associated with a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google Account or by forbidding Google Analytics to collect your data as described in the “Opting out of data collection” section.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (referred to in the following as “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, 4 Dublin, Irland (“Google”).

reCAPTCHA is used to check whether data is being entered on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) by a person or through an automated program. In order to do so, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitor on the basis of various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. To carry out the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor stays on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Visitors to the website are not informed that an analysis is taking place. The data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting the offerings on its website against misuse through automated spying and SPAM.

For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s Data Privacy Policy, see the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.
